Summer operating conditions can reveal weaknesses that were less obvious during installation. The correct response is to check the equipment’s rated limits and maintenance needs, not assume every unit is suitable for any ambient temperature.

Inspect the operating environment

Keep motor cooling paths and relevant ventilation openings clear according to the equipment instructions. Check whether an outdoor collector has the specified weather protection and whether enclosure temperatures remain within the permitted range.

Review supporting utilities

Where filter cleaning uses compressed air, verify supply quality and pressure against the system requirements. Moisture or unreliable air supply can affect cleaning. Electrical inspections and work on pressurised systems must be performed by competent personnel under appropriate isolation.

Schedule access safely

Plan service windows, safe access and staff welfare for hot working conditions. Record changes in temperature, alarms and capture performance rather than repeatedly resetting faults. High-level housekeeping remains important around ducts and building structures, but cleaning must not disturb electrical or protective equipment. DusTech can coordinate extraction maintenance and suitable cleaning activities around the facility’s operating schedule.
